Dharma Spirituality Gathering
with Sri Acharyaji
Join Us for Meditation and Authentic Dharma Teachings
First Wednesday of every month, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
13917 P Street
Omaha, NE 68137
The Dharma Spirituality Gathering is taught by Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya (Dr. Frank Morales, Ph.D.), a globally recognized spiritual teacher and leader. It is the most advanced and authentic intensive on Vedic spirituality, meditation, and philosophy offered in North American today - bar none. The goal of this weekly spiritual gathering is to engage in both the study and practice of Dharma spirituality under the direct guidance of an authentic Hindu spiritual master.
We meet on the first Wednesday evening of the month at the ISDS (International Sanatana Dharma Society) Ashram and Center for Dharma Studies in Omaha, Nebraska for an immersive session consisting of meditation, manta recital, puja, spiritual guidance, and in-depth study of the Vedic scriptures - all rooted in the ancient transformative traditions of Yoga spirituality. Check the Calendar for the latest class schedule updates.
Satsangha is an ancient spiritual practice that has been performed for thousands of years in the Yoga Dharma tradition. There are several important elements that you will notice in these gatherings that make Satsangha radically different from any other spiritual gatherings you may have attended in the past.
The most important of these differences is the deep authenticity, no nonsense approach, and truly ancient nature of what occurs here each week. There is nothing new or "new age", faddish or compromising about Satsangha. Rather, the meditation techniques and philosophy that we explore represents the most ancient, effective, and unadulterated spiritual process known to humanity. The goal is to know ourselves in the deepest essence of our being and to experience the presence of God in our everyday lives, and to do so with honesty, integrity, dedication, humility and devotion.
We do not make the claim that spiritual enlightenment is something that comes about instantly or is easy to attain. It isn't. Anything that is truly worthwhile is something that is worth working hard to achieve. Sri Acharyaji's students who attend Satsangha are dedicated to following a path that encourages them to look honestly within in a contemplative manner, to observing a spiritual discipline that leads to a gradual unfoldment of our true selves, and that results in self-realization and God-consciousness.
What we do ask, however, is that you approach your experience of Satsangha with sincerity, humility, openness, and a strong desire to know the Divine.
Study the Essential Scriptures of Sanatana Dharma
The Vedic scriptures are taught by Sri Acharyaji as part of the Dharma Satsangha. Currently being covered are The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. This is an ancient sacred writing that represent one of the most fascinating and profoundly insightful philosophical works ever written. The roots of Yoga, meditation, Hinduism, Buddhism, spirituality, Dharma, and Asian culture are examined in a meaningful way on Sundays.
Other Vedic Scriptures that will be covered after the Yoga Sutras:
- The Narada Bhakti Sutras
- The Puranas
- The Bhagavad Gita
Requirements to be a Student
Satsangha is not for everyone. Our focus is on the high quality of individuals participating rather than the quantity of people attending.
Potential students cannot be currently abusing alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, or themselves or others in any way. If you are currently under psychiatric care or are suffering from any severe mental illness issues, you are dissuaded from attending. If you wish to attend in order to show how much you think you already know, to merely magnify your ego, or to dominate rather than learn and grow, then this is not the group for you.
If you are sincerely seeking Truth, however - then you are welcome to apply to attend Satsangha. All sincere seekers are welcome to attend, regardless of their religious affiliations. While the foundations of Satsangha are deeply rooted in the ancient traditions of Yoga spirituality and Dharma, what occurs here is beyond sectarian or denominational consideration. We are seeking an experience of Truth.
